Hey everyone! Here's a quick tutorial on how to raycast a locator's position onto a target geometry. This technique is super useful for things like terrain-following tangents or, as shown here, a facial rig where locators follow the surface geometry. It gives you the flexibility to automate the Z-axis transformation in a joint-based facial rig setup. Copy of Maya BIFROST + MASH Zipper Rig
Hey everyone! I put together a cool Zipper Rig demo using Maya Bifrost and MASH to make the deformation work. You can grab the scene for free right here! I based this demo on a fan art coat I created for David Martinez. I was inspired by Banno Yuki's awesome zipping coat and glove animation. I didn't go as deep into the details as he did and didn't spend too much time on it, but I still managed to create something neat. There's room for improvement, and I hope you like it. See you soon!
